voice agents that pick up the phone for restaurants and clinics.

• 01callers kept getting cut off mid sentence, because one turn detection profile was serving both the greeting and the conversation. i split it in two: 0.5 threshold with 450ms of trailing silence once the call is running, a stricter 0.8 with 700ms during the greeting. line noise on pickup stopped counting as speech.
• 02the agent sounded like it was calling from an empty room, which people hear as a robot. built an ambience mixer that blends a restaurant bed into the outbound stream at 20ms mu-law frames with crossfade, level clamped so it never sits on top of the speech.
• 03cut latency on live calls by dropping to smaller speech models, then put it back when word accuracy went with it. the revert is in the log.
• 04started the medical receptionist product from its first commit, and built the clinic one end to end, down to a telnyx sip trunk into elevenlabs with inbound and outbound calls working.

• 01built the directory engine: per item slug pages, an mcp directory, per directory titles and descriptions, icon upload. a new collection could go live without anyone shipping a deploy for it.
• 02search crawlers could read the listings and agents could not. wrote the machine readable surface, llms.txt plus json-ld on every item, so a crawler resolves a listing to structured fields instead of scraping the rendered page.

a handloom retailer doing roughly $120k a year that had only ever sold offline. i built its entire online side in 8 days and i am still the only engineer on it.

• 01hosting was climbing on 12.4 million serverless invocations a month, for a shop with 45 products. it was link prefetch: every product tile entering the viewport was server rendering a page nobody opened. dropped prefetch on the dynamic routes and the bill fell 72%, $87 a month to $25.
• 02the image pipeline hit 132% of its quota, so i pre-generated six widths per photo to object storage and moved encoding into the browser, which also got the native image binary out of the serverless bundle.
• 037.02 lakh through razorpay across 284 paid orders at a 2,473 rupee average, on 62,442 page views with 0.45% of them ending in a purchase. function errors under 0.1% and nothing down through the order spikes.
• 04the bank behind our payment gateway held us in a verification loop. they wanted real orders with invoices, and the invoices had to carry gst applied correctly per product rather than one rate on the cart. i built the per product logic, reissued them, and it cleared. before that we could not take money at all.
• 05built the owner a crm so the shop runs without me: products, analytics, draft then publish job posts, the order queue, pack slips, failed orders and per order refunds.
